![]() ![]() I'll just drop my two cents as a UK medical grad who ended up doing the USMLE (in 4th year as it sounds like you will) - the USMLE is a huge undertaking, and if you are serious about taking it I would just bite the bullet and study the full decks from now. US medical schools will vary as well of course but at the end of the day all US medical students will sit the Step 1, hence there's some standardisation whereas this is not so for the UK (even though in theory there's some basic standards set out by the GMC). I think you'll find a little bit of difficulty as the curriculum for preclinical is not as broadly standardised in the UK.
